How to Perform an Up Down:

  1. Start Position: Stand straight with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Descent: Lower your body until you are in a deep squat. Ensure that:
    • Your heels stay firmly on the ground.
    • Your knees are aligned with your toes.
    • Your toes point out at an angle. Eventually you will buildup to go down with feet facing forward.
  3. Rise: Push yourself back to a standing position, engaging your leg muscles for strength. Use your hands to push you off the ground
  4. Repeat: Perform the motion slowly and smoothly, maintaining form.

For advanced practitioners, increase the pace:

  • Drop into a squat and rise back up in a continuous, controlled motion.
  • Perform 10 repetitions for a complete set.
