A brief history of Eagle Claw Kung Fu
Eagle Claw (Ying Zhao Pai): – Originated in the Sung Dynasty by General Yue Fei in the mid 1100s AD1, is a style which follows the principle of Chin-Na (to catch and hold) focuses on joint locks, grabs, sweeps, and takedowns. Chen Zi Zheng polished the eagle claw forms and brought Ying Zhao Fan Zi Quan Family to the Chin Woo Athletic Association, and was given the name “King of Eagle Claw”. Students will learn traditional Lian Quan (“Fast Connecting Fist”) forms numbers 1 – 10.
